TWO THUMB SKATE JAM

Two Thumb Brewing Co. 352 Manchester Street, Christchurch 8013

A courtyard jam session with craft beer, Mexican streetfood & a big old speaker system. This was dope day in the sun with good people and good times. We've got HUGE plans for a summer comp and this was the test run. BIG Thanks to SUB:BASS for providing the noise, Outsiders & Motorcycling Downunder for the skate gear, El Taquito for the streetfood and Two Thumb for hosting. BRING ON THE SUMMER.

KING OF THE JUNGLE SKATE COMPETITION

Green Lane Market, 22 Southwark Street, Christchurch 8011

Think warehouse, DJ, 400 people getting messy and a 12 foot drop in. This was FIRE. Thanks to the boys Big Ben and Lyttle Ben for setting up a much needed event in the Christchurch skate calendar. A hectic drop in made this one a show for the spectators as much the skaters with as many big bails as tricks landed. We were stoked to support the night with $500 of Duckewe merch and watch the chaos unfold. Find us at Greenlane Market every last Saturday of the month from 10am - 2pm.

MOTORCYCLING DOWNUNDER

376B Wilsons Road, Waltham, Christchurch 8011

THE place to go for all your motorcycling needs. After commuting for two winters in their gear we can guarantee the quality is premo. That's why Duckewe tees are on the rails! Swing by for a yarn with Adam & Dean and grab your lunch at Pedro's Cafe, Exchange Christchurch art studios on the way out.

These boys know how to thrash anything with wheels and even supplied a box & rail for our skate jam at Two Thumb Brewery. Cheers team!

NZ SHRED

19 Shotover Street, Queenstown 9300

Hiding in the adventure capital of the world, NZ Shred is an awesome board store packed to the roof with gems. This long running establishment is owned and operated by two quality dudes, Jon & Jase. They're committed to stocking brands that take responsibility for their impact on the environment and are great for a yarn about eco-fashion! We'll be back for a pint soon.

SKATE EDITS

DUCKEWE BAMBOO Decks are go! Check out the designs and pre-order here.

We've had the best of Christchurch testing our decks and refined them to perfection. Watch Pauly Kauri and Moonboots running the V1 & V2 decks side by side at Knights Bridge Skatepark in Christchurch.

When launching our Christchurch-made plastic-free Merino super socks we teamed up with Pauly to thrash them on the ten set.

Pauly Kauri has been making waves in Christchurch since moving from the North Island this winter. He took the King of the Jungle 2020 title at our Greenlane comp in August and is on the up! Also a super chilled dude who loves a jam and teaching the groms.

Back in August we took our gear to the park for a test run with some local legends. Free tees for honest folk, who shred like duck!

Featuring delights from...

Chris Fenton: THE man about Christchurch. He's skated the lot & travelled the world on a deck through sponsorships well earnt.

Leerock Gonzalesinternational touring breakdancer now running sessions at Flipout, Christchurch.

Jacob Barber: freelance videographer, parkour tutor and part of the Aura Freerunning crew.

Nathan Leach: blades extraordinaire, an old hand at the park who likes to rock up casual and crack out the front flips.

GREEN LANE

MARKET PLACE, ECO-COLLECTIVE AND SO MUCH MORE...

We've had the pleasure of working alongside the fine people at Green Lane for the past year now and we are still continually blown away by this melting pot for incredible talent. From sustainability initiatives to underground party nights, Green Lane on 22 Southwark Street is the community hot spot where good sh*t happens.

GREEN LANE COLLECTIVE

As part of our commitment to sustainability, we work as part of a group of local business owners, connected by a passion for the environment. The collective exists as a network to share eco-ideas and resources, organise workshops and support each other on the journey. Duckewe attends regular meetings and actively participates in the group through working as part of their marketing team. Find out more and meet the crew here.
